SPIRITUAL GIFTS: EVANGELISM
Our desire is that every Christ-follower is an active member of a local church and to know what spiritual gifts God has given them for building up the church and the common good. Once you have an idea of how God has gifted you with unique manifestations of the Spirit, use the following next-step guide to help you develop and deploy your gifts as good stewards of God’s varied grace.
EVANGELISM
The gift of evangelism is the divine enablement to effectively communicate the gospel to unbelievers so they respond in faith and move toward discipleship.
Ephesians 4:11-14; Acts 8:26-40, 14:21, 21:8; Luke 19:1-10; 2 Timothy 4:5
Write out (and refine over time) a three-minute version of your personal testimony that you can share with people who don’t follow Jesus that includes the basics of the gospel and an invitation to chat more, or to respond in repentance and faith.

Pray for specific people who don’t yet know Christ.
Pray for God to bring new unsaved people across your path so that you can converse or build relationships.
Use your testimony in conversations at events with people you know or even consider taking the bold step of street evangelism and asking people if you could chat with them.
If you have other gifts like discernment, prophecy or words of knowledge, use those gifts as “a way in” to conversations.
Consider being an Alpha facilitator at our next Alpha course and always be inviting people onto that journey.
